The clown statue

The clown statue at this fast food restaurant that my parents just love, scares me. Ever since the restaurant put up that creepy clown, it scared me to death. It didn’t really look like a clown. In fact, it looked like a mouse in a black tuxedo, having the intention to make children cry. Believe me, if any of you guys saw this ‘clown’ for the first time, you’d jump and run away. The weird thing about this clown is that it changes it position every day. On Monday it would be showing 1 finger up.

On Tuesday it showed 2 fingers up. And so on. One of my classmates was absent for the whole month. I returned from school on the first day that he was absent. The clown statue was holding 5 fingers up. It scared me to death.

One night, I snuck out of the house. Wanting to see why was the clown statue always changing it’s number of fingers. I walked until I arrived at the fast food restaurant. There, I saw the clown statue this time it was holding 6 fingers up this time. I walked closer to the statue. Suddenly, I noticed that the statue was moving it’s eyes until one point, our eyes met. I walked a few steps back.

Seconds later, the statue moved and started chasing me! I ran for dear life. I had to admit that the statue was really fast. “Help! Help! I’m being chased by a crazy clown!” I shouted. But, it was no use. The streets were deserted. Nobody outside.

The clown started to catch up with me. It was a good thing that I was close to my house. I quickly ran to the door, unlocked the door, went inside and locked the door back. The clown started banging on the door, “BANG, BANG, BANG!”

Ignoring the loud knock on the door, I ran into my room and straight away locked the door. Amazingly, the clown was banging on the door so loud that I could hear it from the inside of my locked room. I closed my eyes. Hours later, the knocks ended and I slept; peacefully.

The next day, I opened the door to go to school. I got the shock of my life when I opened the door. Right in front of the door was the clown that chased me last night. My face turned pale as I closed the door and went out using the back door. I ran not knowing if the clown was following me from behind.

Suddenly while I was running, a hand grabbed me from my backpack. “Let me go! Let me go you crazy clown!” I shouted while kicking whatever was behind me. To be honest I didn’t even know if it was the clown behind me. “Ow! Relax! It’s me!” Shouted a familiar voice from behind me.

I turned around to see one of my classmates rubbing her leg.

“Sorry.” I said.

“It’s okay. I only want to focus on this. Why did you say crazy clown?” My classmate asked.

“No I didn’t.”

“Yes you did.”

“You know what let’s just go to school or we’ll be late.” I said as I walked in front of her. My classmate followed me from behind on the way to school.

On the way to school, the both of us past by the fast food restaurant. There, I saw the clown statue. This time, the statue looked scarier than before. It’s eyes now looked as if it were moving. Every time I blink, the statue would change the position of it’s eyes. Until one point, it was looking directly at me. I could see it moving. Slowly, it begin to chase me and my classmate. My classmate who was being unaware, got grabbed by the statue. The statue then looked at me. Being afraid, I ran to the school.

When I reached school, I was out of breath. I was sweating as if I had joined a marathon. I got into class, thinking of what happened to my friend.

After school, I walked back home. I passed by the restaurant. This time, the statue was holding 7 fingers up.
