Short horror stories 2

1. When I was little, I lived with cats and dogs so I was used to hear scratching noises in the middle of the night. But now that I live alone, it sounds unsettling…

2. I enter the empty elevator and push the button for my floor. As the doors close, I feel a hand cover my mouth.

3. The lights flicker. I put my pillow on my head so that I won’t hear the screams this time.

4.  My daughter won’t stop crying in the middle of the night. I visit her grave but it doesn’t help.

5. The grinning face stared at me through my bedroom window. I live on the 14^th floor.

6. They delivered the mannequins in bubble wrap. From the main room I began to hear popping.

7. I was alone in my house when I was awoken by a noise and reached for my flashlight. It was handed to me.

8. There’s nothing like the laughter of a baby. Unless it’s 1 AM and you’re home alone.

Short horror stories

1. “I thought of sleeping with you tonight dad.” Said my daughter as she crawled up the bed. I woke up, holding the dress she was buried in.

2. I always thought that my cat had an eye problem as it was always looking at me. Until one day, I noticed that my cat was looking behind me.

3. You wake up taking your phone and seeing that there is a photo of you sleeping. But you live alone.

4. You walk in to your room seeing your wife holding your 5 month old child. You smile when suddenly, your wife comes in the house with groceries in her hands.

5. She asked why I was breathing so heavily. I wasn’t.

6. “Dear! Come down please!” Shouted a girl’s mom from downstairs. The girl was about to get out from her room when she heard a voice in her closet say “Don’t go down dear, I heard it too.”

7. I woke up to a sound as if it something was knocking on my window. After a while, I noticed that the sound was coming from my mirror.

8.  Don’t be scared of monsters. Look for them. You can look left, right, under your bed and in your cupboard. But don’t look up. She hates being seen.

Finding Hana

The lady had ran inside a cupboard.  

“Is the lady stupid or something? A cupboard isn’t wide and doesn’t have space for people to hide in.” Said Syirah.

The three of them stopped running and Aleesya opened the cupboard door. They were amazed to see that inside the cupboard was stairs leading down to the unknown.

“After you…” Said Syirah and Aleesya to Azim at the same time. Azim rolled his eyes and went down the stairs. He was followed by Syirah and Aleesya.

When the three of them reached the end of the stairs, they saw nothing but darkness.

“This, was a bad idea.” Said Syirah regretting going down the stairs.

Automatically, Azim took out a wooden stick out from his shirt and lit up a fire.

“Thank you Yusof.” Said Azim under his breath.

The three of them walked side by side not wanting to get lost in the darkness.

‘Whoosh!’

“What was that?” Asked Aleesya while holding Syirah’s hand.

Syirah didn’t say anything but continued to walk.

Suddenly in the darkness, was a set of smiling teeth.

“Who’s there?” Asked Azim.

The thing didn’t say anything. Azim getting annoyed, pointed out his torch to the set of smiling teeth. Azim dropped the torch and immediately, the torch burned out.

“Azim? Azim! Where are you?!” Syirah and Aleesya called out. It was a good thing that Aleesya had held Syirah’s hand.

“I’m here!” Shouted Azim’s voice. But it was no use. Syirah and Aleesya couldn’t find him anywhere.

“Well, I guess that we just have to defend ourselves.” Said Syirah as she took out her bow and one arrow.

“D… Does this mean that we have to spilt up?” Asked Aleesya in fear.

“I’m sorry but yes.” Said Syirah as she pushed Aleesya’s hand off her right hand and started walking.

“Syirah! Syirah please don’t leave me alone in this darkness!” Cried Aleesya.

Aleesya had no other choice but to defend herself. She took out her bow and arrow and started walking.

 

Azim was walking whichever way he wanted. He didn’t care where he was walking al he wanted to do was find at least one of his teammates.

As he was walking, he stumbled upon something.

“Oh I’ve finally found you Syirah or Aleesya!” Azim cried of joy.  He took hold of Syirah or Aleesya’s arrow.

“Wow Syirah or Aleesya, your grip to your bow is so weak.” Said Azim as he felt Syirah or Aleesya’s bow being held very weak.

“Umm…. Azim, that’s not my bow your holding.” Said Syirah.

“Neither mine.” Said Aleesya.

Azim’s eyes was wide open. He felt the person’s hand. It was bony and hard. Like a skeleton!

“Aaaaaa!!!!!!!” Shouted Azim. After calming down, he continued walking.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Syirah was walking in the darkness. When suddenly, she heard a voice:

“Hello? Syirah, Aleesya or Azim is that you?”

“Hana! Is that you?!” Shouted Syirah.

“Yes! Yes it’s me!” Shouted the voice once more.

Syirah got an idea.

“Oh! Why didn’t I think of this before!” Said Syirah angrily to herself. She took out a wooden stick from her satchel of arrows and lit up a fire on the wooden stick.

“Syirah! Syirah is that you light shining in the darkness?” Shouted Azim and Aleesya at the same time.

“Yes1 Yes it is! Come over to me!” Shouted Syirah back to them.

Without hesitation, Azim and Aleesya ran to the shining light in the pitch black darkness. Aleesya hugged Syirah.

“Oh! I thought that this would be the end of me!” Said Aleesya.

“Oh you!” Said Syirah.

The three of them started looking for Hana.

“There! There I see her!” Shouted Aleesya. Aleesya grabbed the torch out of Syirah’s hands and ran to Hana. Syirah and Azim caught up with her.

When they saw Hana, Hana’s hands were in chains.

“Guys! Help! The lady has the key she kept it somewhere!” Shouted Hana.

Suddenly, Azim felt something chocking him.

“Syirah! Aleesya! Help!” Shouted Azim running out of breath. Syirah shown the light to Azim’s direction. The lady was chocking him.

Aleesya shot her arrow with her bow towards the lady. The lady was able to miss it. Syirah came up with an idea. She whispered it in Aleesya’s ear.

“Got it.” Said Aleesya while smiling. Syirah gave the torch to Aleesya.

Aleesya tried to shoot the lady as a distraction. The lady missed all of the shots.

Syirah crept up behind the lady, pulled her head down to the floor, stepped on her neck with her foot and pointed the arrow directly to her head.

“Let go of him!” Shouted Syirah furiously.

The lady didn’t listen. Syirah stepped harder on the lady’s neck.

“LET GO OF HIM!” Shouted Syirah once more. This time, the lady listened.

“Now, tell me, where did you hid the key to unlock the chains.” Said Syirah. The lady only stayed quiet.

Azim kicked the lady and said, “Tell us you demon!”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, relax Azim.” Said Aleesya.

“It’s right next to your friend with the chains feet dummies.” Said the lady. Her voice was terrifying.

Aleesya took the key and unlocked Hana.

“Congratulations, you have completed the game.” Said the lady.

Suddenly, white lights appeared next to the four friends and they were teleported outside the game.

 

“So, how did you guys like my game?” Asked Yusof as he saw his friends next to him.

“Awesome.” Said Syirah.

“Horrifying.” Said Hana.

“Interesting.” Said Azim.

“Speechless.” Said Aleesya.

“You should make another one.” Said Syirah and Azim.

“No!” Shouted Aleesya and Hana.

The four of them laughed.

Video game 2

“Well guys, it’s now or never.” Said Syirah walking up to the door of the abandoned mansion.

Aleesya followed from behind which was followed by Hana and Azim. The four of them walked into the mansion. Not knowing what’ll they see before their very eyes.

As they were walking in the abandoned mansion, Hana said “This place gives me the chills…”

“Well this game gives the excitement and curiosity.” Said Syirah with a smirk as she walked.

“La, la, la, la, lalalalalalala……” Sang a voice from a room.

The four of them stopped walking. Hana who was terrified, went in front to hold Syirah’s hand.

“The voice came from there.” Said Aleesya as she pointed to a room with a door that was half open.

With chattering teeth, the four of them went into the room. There, they saw a young girl in a rocking chair stroking her doll’s hair.

“La, la, la, la, lalalalalalala……” She sang again.

“Ummm…..” Said Azim not having any words to come up with.

At that moment, the girl stopped singing and stopped stroking her doll’s hair.

“Hehehehehe….” Laughed the girl as she turned her head to face the four friends.

When the girl came face to face with the four of them, the four friends didn’t see her face but only her long dark hair covering her face. Her white gown was cleaner than her appearance.

“You just had to say something huh Azim?” Whispered Syirah angrily.

Azim ignored her as he was terrified looking at the girl.

“Leave me alone!!!!!!!!!!!!” Shouted the girl as she revealed her face. The four friends were terrified as they saw that the girl had no eyeballs.

Four of them ran out of the room without them controlling themselves.

“What’s happening? Why are we running without ourselves controlling our own feet?” Shouted Azim as he ran with the gang.

“I can control you four remember? Because you all are in the game as characters so the player gets to control the character.” Said Yusof as his thumbs pressed a red button.

The four of them didn’t say anything but just ran while looking behind. The girl wasn’t following them anymore. Slowly, the four of them stopped running.

“We, we lost her.” Said Syirah while panting.

The four managed to calm themselves down and walked again.

“Creek…..” It was the sound of a door opening.

Before Hana could shout, Syirah put her hands over Hana’s mouth.

“Shhhh!!” Said Syirah as she walked to the direction of the sound. The others followed.

With shivering hands, Syirah went into the room. Again, the others followed.

In the room they saw nothing but a music box and a closed closet.

“It’s not like the music box got up and opened the door.” Said Hana.

“Unless…” Said Syirah as she looked at the closet and saw two sets of eyes looking at them. The door of the closet opened wide and a woman came out floating.

Without Syirah controlling herself, she took out a bow and arrow and shot the woman.

“Whoa.” Said Syirah amazed with what she could do.

“Impressed??” Asked Yusof. “Look at the suits that you four are wearing.” Said Yusof.

The four looked at their clothes.

Syirah was dressed up as an archer, Hana also as an archer, Aleesya was also as an archer and Azim as a warrior.

“Looks like all of us have a bow and some arrows.” Said Hana.

“But we’re dressed up as an archer where people can see our faces. While Azim is wearing a hood.” Said Syirah.

“Yeah. And I like it.” Said Azim.

The four of them walked on in the abandoned mansion.

As they were walking, Hana suddenly stopped walking and looked up.

Syirah who noticed the situation, also stopped which was followed by Aleesya and Azim.

“What’s wrong Hana?” Asked Syirah.

“L… Look up.” Said Hana sounding terrified.

The four of them looked up. They saw a lady hanging on the ceiling. The lady dropped down, grabbed Hana by the arm, and ran away with her.

“Hana!” Shouted Syirah as she targeted at the lady. But alas, the lady was too quick which made Syirah missed her shot. The three of them ran after the lady.

Video game

Yusof was a person that loved inventing things even though he was only 11 years old. Whenever he had some new or interesting inventions, he would invite his friends Azim, Hana, Aleesya and Syirah over to the house.

One day, Yusof invented a video game. As usual, he invited his friends over to his house.

When his friends arrived at the house, Azim asked, “Okay buddy, what have you invented today?”

Yusof brought out the video that he made out from his pocket. It looked like a video game controller but it had a screen on it.

“This, is what I made today.” Said Yusof proudly. 

Syirah looked at it not looking as impress as Yusof. She said, “This is what you made? Video games are what the world already have. I was expecting something even more interesting from you.”

“But, this is not just some ordinary video game.” Said Yusof.

What he said managed to get everyone’s attention including Syirah.

“What’s so special about this particular video game?” Asked Aleesya interested.

Yusof smiled from ear-to-ear as he was happy that at least someone was interested with his invention.

“Well, this game needs five characters. It’s okay if it’s less than five. Anyway, if you look carefully, you can see like a tiny camera on top of the screen. So, what you have to do is take your picture using this camera. You need to press the blue button. After you press it, your faces will appear on screen wearing the clothes that the game thinks suits you.” Explained Yusof.

“What type of game did you make?” Asked Hana.

“A horror game.” Said Yusof. At that very moment, Syirah was interested.

“Can I try out this game?” Asked Syirah.

“Sure. Okay, Azim, Hana, Aleesya and Syirah please stand over there.” Said Yusof.

The four did as they were told. Yusof took the photo. At that very moment, Azim, Hana, Aleesya and Syirah were sucked into the game!

“Where are we?” Said Syirah as she found herself and her friends in front of an abandoned mansion.

“Guys, I think that… We’re in the game.” Said Azim as he pointed to the screen which had Yusof’s face outside of it.

“What are we going to do? How do we get out?” Asked Hana terrified.

No one answered Hana.

“Yusof! Yusof! Look into the screen!!!!!” Shouted Aleesya.

Yusof looked to the screen and saw the four of them. “How did you four get into the game??” Asked Yusof full with curiosity.

“Wait, you can hear us?” Asked Syirah in amazement.

“This game has sounds. So, whatever sound comes from inside the video game, the player can hear it.” Explained Yusof.

“Again, what happened? How did you four get into the game?” Asked Yusof again still wanting an answer.

“I think that your video game needs some fixing. By the way, why ask us? Ask the genius that made this game.” Said Azim.

“But, this will be interesting. Yusof did say that this video game is themed horror.” Said Syirah.

“So, are you four going to play or not?” Asked Yusof.

“Depends, how do we get out?” Asked Hana.

“Once the game is over, the characters faces will be changed so I’m guessing that, when you four finish the game, you four can get out.” Said Yusof.

“Are you sure?” Asked Aleesya.

“Yes. Yes I’m sure.” Said Yusof.

“What are we waiting for? Let’s start playing!” Said Syirah excitedly.

Without another word, the four of them went into the mansion prepared to experience the unknown….
