Take Care of Yourself, Please.

Zaid wasn’t invited Nuiz texted to Syazee. So we’re walking I guess.

At the drop of a hat, Syazee replied.

Dang. Seriously? Fine then. See you at your house at 6? Lenni’s party isn’t until 7 and the walk to her house is pretty far.

Fine by me.

It was five past six when Syazee arrived. “You’re late,” Nuiz told her as she opened the door.

“Great, thanks for the warm welcome.” Syazee replied with a cheeky grin. Nuiz smiled and shook her head. “Now c’mon. 35 minutes ‘till the party starts and we don’t want to be late now do we?”

Nuiz got out of her house. She was wearing a casual black shirt with black jeans and a cap that said ‘Australia’. She had her hair tied and was wearing black boots.

Syazee, on the other hand, was dressed real proper. She was wearing a white dress and had her hair curled. She was wearing white heels as well.

“This isn’t school prom, yah know.” Nuiz told her as she put her hands in her pockets. Syazee looked at Nuiz attire and laughed.

“Oh so you think you’re dressed better than me? I mean, look at you. You’re dressed up as if you’re a mechanic.” Syazee told her. Nuiz laughed and said, “An Australian mechanic.” As she tilted her hat a little.

“Besides, boots don’t work for mechanics, mate.” Nuiz said again but this time with an Australian accent. Syazee pushed Nuiz with a laugh.

“But why wasn’t Zaid invited, though?” Syazee asked, her voice dropping. Nuiz looked at her and saw that she was blushing. Nuiz pushed her a little and told her, “Because, in freshmen year, Zaid told Lenni that her chair looked like a boat once in carpenter class. Lenni was literally called ‘boair’ for a month.” Nuiz laughed at the end of her sentence, remembering how Zaid told her the story of how he pissed off a freshmen on her first year.

Syazee laughed along and said, “So that’s why I heard some guys calling her Miss Boair.”

“That’s also probably why she got out of the carpenter class after a few months last year and changed to some other class.” Nuiz said again with a grin.

“Better not say anything about the ‘boair’ later at Lenni’s party.” Syazee advised with a laugh.

“Yeah no kidding.”

It was 5 minutes before the party when Nuiz and Syazee arrived at Lenni’s house. The crowd was building up though so Nuiz and Syazee quickly got into the house.

They saw Lenni in the living room surrounded by people. She looked pretty hung-over and she was telling some probably fictional story of her life as the people surrounding her were laughing. She saw Nuiz and Syazee.

“Frieeeeends!” She literally shrieked drunkenly. The two friends looked at each other and decided to walk away.

“Hey, I’ll see you out of the house at 9, aye? We can leave by then I think.” Syazee told Nuiz as she walked away. “Okay,” Nuiz said, but she knew Syazee had already gone too far for her to hear her.

Nuiz went into the kitchen to get away from the blinding lights. The kitchen was lit dimly and a guy was in there. It was Lenni’s older brother Andrew who was obviously one of those jerky jocks.

“Ayy…” He said when he saw Nuiz in the kitchen. She took one look at him and saw that he was fairly drunk. He begin walking over to her and Nuiz ran out of the kitchen.

“Freak.” Nuiz mumbled to herself. She was offered a drink by Hailey. She took the glass and drank it down straight away.

Suddenly, somebody put their hand around Nuiz. This startled her and she turned around to see Damian holding bottle of wine in his hand.

“Hey Mikayla.” He mumbled drunkenly, his voice giggling as he spoke. Nuiz rolled her eyes and said, “I’m not Mikayla, I’m Nuiz.” Though she half expected Damian to understand a word she was saying. I bet I might have to even speak a different language with these people, Nuiz thought.

“Yeah right Mikayla, you ain’t running away from me again, not anymore… Hehe…” Damian said as he tried his best to keep up with Nuiz who was fairly annoyed by all the drunk zombies in the house. She walked faster until Damian could no longer see her.

Nuiz glanced at her wrist-watch and saw that it was only a quarter past seven. She rolled her eyes. I need to get out of this house, she thought.

She got outside to the backyard and saw someone sitting on a swing that was tied to a big tree. He was wearing a red plaid shirt with black jeans and sneakers. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbow, showing off half of his arms.

It was definitely James, a friend of Zaid’s. His hair shined a blue-black shine in the night sky. Nuiz walked over to him.

“Nuiz, hey.” James said, smiling at Nuiz. He scooched over to make space for Nuiz to sit next to him. She sat down and the two were quiet.

“What’re you doing out here? The party’s inside,” James asked her. Nuiz looked at him and back to the night sky. “I should be asking you that,” She said. “I found you out here alone. Where’s your girl Layla, by the way? Wasn’t she invited?”

James looked at Nuiz and to the dark night sky. Nuiz just kept on looking at him, waiting for an answer.

“We fall in love with the people we can’t have,” James said after a while, looking at Nuiz as if he said that just to reassure himself.

“You guys over?”

“Can you not ask?”

Nuiz nodded and the both of them looked up at the night sky. “Where’s Zaid by the way?” James asked Nuiz after a long moment of silence.

“Wasn’t invited. The ‘boair’ case, remember?” And with that, they both laughed. Then, they were quiet again, just looking at the night sky. Suddenly, Nuiz thought of something.

“Git Gud?” She mentioned, looking at James. James looked back at her and the both of them just stared at each other for a whole minute.

“What?” James suddenly blurted out as he laughed. Nuiz was embarrassed and didn’t know what to say.

“I’ve been getting these notes from some person who calls himself Git Gud.” Nuiz told him, still embarrassed. James stopped laughing and took her seriously.

“Don’t know what you’re talking about, honestly.” James said with a chuckle at the end of his sentence. All Nuiz did was smile weakly at him and looked up to the night sky.

“But since we’re talking about it, how does he give you these notes or letters?” James asked her.

“By leaving them in books.”

James suddenly smiled and sighed. “Love lives between the lines, aye?”

Nuiz grinned and asked, “C’mon, I’m sure you’ve done something just as dumb.”

James laughed for a bit before telling her, “I have actually, with Layla. Paper airplanes, though.”

Nuiz laughed and repeated, “Paper airplanes?”

“Yep, good old paper airplanes.”

Nuiz looked at him, obviously wanting to hear more so James went on and on about his paper airplane love story.

At the end of his story, they were both quiet, just staring up at the night sky again. It was just such a beautiful night that they couldn’t look away.

“I somehow find this relaxing,” Nuiz mumbled suddenly. James glanced at her and back to the night sky.

“You must have nyctophilia.” James mumbled an answer. Nuiz heard him and looked at him. “What’s that?” She asked.

“A person who loves the night or darkness.” James told her. Nuiz said oh and just stared at the night sky, letting herself relax for a minute.

Soon it was just Nuiz on the swing. James had went back into the house. Nuiz saw Syazee from a window and saw that she was dancing like mad.

It was half past nine by now. The two friends were supposed to leave half an hour ago but Syazee insisted that they stayed for a little while longer. Nuiz decided to text Syazee.

I’m going home. See you on Monday.

She got up and started walking back home, her hands in her pockets and her boots making a satisfying sound as she walked.

Suddenly, Nuiz felt her head aching. Her steps got slower and slower until she just collapsed onto the sidewalk. She didn’t know what to do, she just sat there on the sidewalk. Soon, she was lying down on the sidewalk, her head aching.

Before everything went black, the last thing she saw was a guy in a blue t-shirt in glasses hovering over her asking in a British accent, “Are you alright? Hello? Nuiz? Nuiz!”

And after that, everything went black.

Letters Between Books.

Syazee was on the park bench, waiting for Nuiz. When she saw Nuiz, she waved and Nuiz scampered over to her.

“It’s 7 in the evening, Syazee. Why would you want to come to the park at this time? And why drag me with you, honestly?” Nuiz asked her exasperatedly.

“Me? Call you? You said that you wanted to meet me here!” Syazee told Nuiz with an eyebrow raised. Nuiz’s eyes widened as she asked, “Seriously?”

Syazee nodded her head crazily. The two friends were both quiet, looking at each other in an odd expression.

“You know what, I’m going home. See you tomorrow at school, Nuiz.” Syazee said as she walked away. Nuiz didn’t bother stopping her. Syazee waved at Nuiz and Nuiz waved back. As soon as she was alone, Nuiz sat on the bench and sighed.

“Seriously.” Nuiz whispered to herself. She turned to her right and was surprised to see her book, Holding Up the Universe next to her on the bench.

She was hesitant to pick it up at first. She put out a wary hand and took the book. She flipped the pages to page 76 and 77. There was a letter between the two pages.

Nuiz,

Please don’t leave your book at school. I have to wait until the next day for your answer.

PS, you probably don’t know most of your seniors. Happy guessing!

PPS, yes, I was the one that called you to the park. I had to use Syazee as a diversion so that you wouldn’t have suspected anything. Don’t wonder how I did it. I’m a tech-geek I can hack.

-Git Gud.

Nuiz laid her head back and laughed. “I went to a park, at 7 in the evening, just to find out that some intriguing senior of mine wanted to give my book back.”

She laughed even harder and yelled out loud, “Git Gud! Haha you hilarious senior. I may not know who you are but I know for sure that I’m going to like you!”

“Hey, you’re back.” Zaid said as Nuiz walked into the living room with her book in her hand and a grin on her face.

“What’re you grinning for?” Zaid asked. Nuiz looked at him and just laughed.

“Brother?”

“Sister?”

“Do you know anyone, anyone in school who’s older than me, that calls himself ‘Git Gud’?” Nuiz asked with a smile. Zaid looked at her oddly and asked why.

“Because whoever that guy is, he has me interested and I want to know who he is. Please do you know anyone who calls himself Git Gud?!” Nuiz asked her brother exasperatedly.

“You weren’t holding a book when you left the house.” Zaid said instead.

“It’s my book. I magically found it in the park.” Nuiz told her brother as she started laughing again.

“Sure, and pigs fly, Nuiz. Go up to your room and get your damn head straight. You’re being so idiotic right now that you’re speaking a different language.” Zaid told her as he rolled his eyes. He continued watching The Simpsons.

“The Simpsons are just as stupid as me…!” Nuiz yelled, her voice trailing as she ascended the stairs.

“Go upstairs, Nuiz!” Zaid yelled back, grinning as he tried to hold in a laugh.

“Geez, what’s gotten into her?” Zaid whispered to himself.

Git Gud,

You sly senior. You definitely have my liking, though. I really want to know who you are.

-Nuiz.

“Yesterday was totally weird, right?” Syazee asked Nuiz on the way to school. They both walked to school together occasionally if it was still early. Nuiz was hugging her book (or aka the only way she and her geek talk) to her chest with a smile, barely even listening to what Syazee was saying.

Syazee looked at her friend with an eyebrow raised and groaned exasperatedly. She clapped her hands as loud as she could, waking Nuiz from her daydream.

Nuiz jumped and looked at Syazee. “Seriously? That’s like the 5th time you’ve spaced out in 10 minutes! What’s gotten into you, girl?”

“Nothing.” Nuiz replied with a smile. Syazee elbowed her.

“What?” Nuiz asked with a smile. Syazee smiled smugly back at her and looked away. Nuiz lifted an eyebrow.

“You got somebody special and you’re not telling me now, aren’t yah?” Syazee asked with gleaming eyes. Nuiz tried hard not to blush so she rolled her eyes and told her, “That’s ridiculous. We both know all the guys in our class are complete freaks.”

“All except Damian.” Syazee said as she looked at Nuiz in full cheekiness.

“Shut it, Syazee we both know Damian’s with that foreigner, Mikayla.” Nuiz told her.

“Shut up, seriously??”

“Yes, now stop bugging me.”

“What about Mike?” Syazee asked with a grin. They both looked at each other in disgust as they both knew that Mike was a complete weirdo.

“Seriously Syazee? The guy that tried making a creature out of a hamster and a frog?” Nuiz shivered at the thought. Syazee laughed.

“We better hurry. Bells ringing in half an hour.” Syazee said. And with that, they both fastened their pace.

They both got at school 10 minutes before the bell rang. As they walked through the hallway, Maddie, one of their classmates, walked up to them.

“Hey, Mad what up?” Nuiz asked.

“You guys going to Lenni’s party this weekend?” Maddie asked excitedly, looking at Syazee and Nuiz. The two friends looked at each other and back to Maddie.

“I guess we aren’t invited.” Nuiz told Maddie with a shrug.

“That’s why I’m here, silly! Lenni asked me to invite everyone in class and some of the seniors.” Maddie told them.

“Your question 5 minutes ago didn’t sound like an invitation, though.” Syazee said flatly. Nuiz nudged her as she feared that her statement hurt Maddie’s feelings. Syazee looked at Nuiz and mouthed, ‘What?’

“Anyway, thanks, Maddie. We’ll come. Just text me the exact day, time and location.” Nuiz saved the situation. Maddie’s face lit up and she walked away, leaving the two friends to themselves.

“But seriously? That wasn’t an invitation that was a question.” Syazee said, still intending on extending the conversation.

Nuiz rolled her eyes. The bell rang and they both looked at each other.

“C’mon. Let’s get a move on before Mr. Gats locks the door and locks us outside.” Nuiz told Syazee as she fastened her pace.

Nuiz and Syazee were both in the cafeteria eating breakfast. The cafeteria was in its normal noisy state.

“You think Lenni’s party’s going to be a bash?” Syazee asked, biting on an apple. Nuiz looked up from her food and said, “Lenni always throws the best parties. No doubt in that.”

“Maddie said Lenni was going to invite seniors. Do you think your brother’s going to be invited? If he is then we can go to the party in his car. That would be easier than walking.” Syazee mentioned. Nuiz grinned secretly as she knew that her friend had a crush on her brother but tried to cover her tracks. Nothing slips unnoticed though, Nuiz thought.

“I’m going to the library. The cafeteria seems noisier than usual today that it’s giving me a headache.” Nuiz said as she got up. She left Syazee to her breakfast and dropped by her classroom. She’d left her book under her desk earlier that morning and was hoping that Git Gud had left her a letter or something.

And he sure did!

Nuiz,

Maddie, your classmate told me that you’ve been invited to Lenni’s party this weekend. I’ve been invited too so see you there (even though I’ll be the only one out of both of us excited to see you there).

-Git Gud.

Guess Who.

The bell for breakfast rang at school the next day. Syazee and Nuiz walked to the cafeteria together. They were talking about last night’s movie.

“I love all thriller movies but this one wasn’t interesting.” Nuiz commented with a shrug. “I don’t know, maybe I’m just being judgemental.”

“You always are judgemental.” Syazee told her with a grin.

The cafeteria was a real noise but the two friends were used to this particular environment. Sooner or later a food war is bound to happen and I’m going to be there to see it, thought Nuiz with a grin.

Nuiz and Syazee took their seats and set their food down at their usual table. As they both ate, something dropped on Nuiz’s plate.

“Lol, what is that? Hopefully not a used tissue.” Syazee said. Nuiz felt quite amused by this even though she kind of knew what it was: A note from her secret admirer or, aka the-guy-that’s-been-sending-her-notes.

“It’s just a piece of paper.” Nuiz told Syazee. She turned away and unfolded it.

Dear Nuiz,
It’s a bit stressful, isn’t it? Having somebody randomly dropping notes to you? I think I know a different way we can speak to each other.

I’ve left a note in your latest book, Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven. I’ve read it before. The book was in your backpack in class so it was easy for me to leave it in there. I left the note between pages 76 and 77. Just leave your reply in there and I’ll read it anytime I snoop by your class when you’re not around.
-Git Gud.

‘Oh so that’s great. He left his nickname. Which literally gets me nowhere closer to who he really is.’ Nuiz thought. But, of course, she was keen on knowing who this person was so she was just going to go with it.

“Who’s the note from?” Syazee asked, trying to snatch it from Nuiz’s hand. Nuiz clasped it in her hands like it was a pearl and said, “It’s a secret.” And she grinned cheekily. Syazee rolled her eyes in annoyance and said, “We’re besties. Now gimme!”

Nuiz swiftly kept in her jacket pocket and pushed Syazee away playfully. “Noooooo!” Nuiz shouted at Syazee with a laugh.

Finally, Syazee gave it up and put on a pouting face and showed it to Nuiz. Nuiz copied her expression and Syazee was exasperated.

“Secreeeeeet.” Nuiz said, deliberately annoying Syazee.

After school, Nuiz went to the library. Syazee had went home earlier leaving Nuiz at school.
Nuiz sat on one of the chairs in the middle of the library and took out her book, Holding Up the Universe. She hadn’t checked the note ‘Git Gud’ had left her.

Dear Nuiz,
If you’re reading this, it means that the note I asked someone to drop off for me has been read by you. Anyway, you did say you wanted to play a game with me so I will.
Let’s play guess the person (Though I think it wouldn’t be as interesting as I know almost everything about you.)

About me: I’m a school senior, I like books especially fiction, thriller and mystery. We’ve talked once but I don’t think you’d remember me because it was only small talk. I’m not athletic, I’m more of a nerd. A technology geek? Yes, I think that’s the word.

I like books (I know I’ve said this), I like you. A lot. If you knew who I was you would’ve probably thrown the first note I sent you. I’m no Mr Perfect so, if one day you know exactly who I am, I hope you won’t think I’m a freak.
                                                                                                                                                -Git Gud.

“Looks like this guy and I have a lot in common.” Nuiz mumbled, rereading the note.

‘I like you. A lot.’

A smile curled on Nuiz’s face. ‘So he is my secret admirer. A senior. That’s both creepy and thrilling.’

Git Gud,
You seem like a nice guy. Why do you think I’ll hate you?

But, I don’t know if I should like you. After all, you know me but I have no idea who you are. Don’t you think that’s a little unfair? You know me but I don’t know you.

You’re a technology geek you say. Come to think of it not many of my seniors have a thing for books. They’re mostly big idiots (but you’re not apparently).
-Nuiz

And with that, Nuiz put the book back in her backpack. Before she went home, she dropped by her classroom and slid the book under her desk.

She smiled for a while before leaving the classroom and heading home.

“I’m home!” Nuiz said as she walked into the house. She saw her older brother, Zaid.

“Aiyoo.” Zaid said as a welcome. He looked away from his phone for and got off the couch.

Zaid also went to Nuiz’s school. He was 17 years old. Apparently, he’d gone home early than Nuiz.

“Zaid?” Nuiz said, sitting down next to him on the couch. Zaid sat back down and asked, “Yeah, what?”

“Do you know any guy in your class that’s a technology geek and has a thing for books?”

“Nah, I think I’m the only guy who’s like that.”
Nuiz looked at Zaid in an odd way and Zaid mimicked her expression. “Is this the ‘who can do the most awkward face’ competition? If it is count me in.”

Nuiz looked at Zaid in annoyance as he just grinned. “But seriously though, why do you ask?”

Nuiz fumbled through her bag to look for her book. She then remembered that she had left it under her desk.

“Nevermind,” She told her brother as a cover line. “It’s nothing.”

“Okay, weirdo.” Zaid told her.

As Nuiz ascended the stairs to go up to her room, Zaid told her, “But seriously? I think I’m the only book lover in my class. The other guys are just jocks who probably don’t know a thing.” Nuiz nodded at this piece of information.

She went into her room and lied down on her bed, thinking, ‘There’s no way my brother is the one that’s been sending those letters.’

Nuiz laughed and thought, ‘Maybe this guy isn’t my brother age? Maybe 15 or 16.’

Nuiz’s thoughts were quiet for a second before she thought ‘But whoever this is has me intrigued.’

Nuiz’s phone rang from across the room as she was watching TV with Zaid. She walked over to pick it up. Syazee’s name was on the screen.

Nuiz: Ayy what up.

Syazee: Wanna go out or just walk in the park?

Nuiz: It’s almost 7.

Syazee: I don’t hear a no or yes...!

Nuiz sighed on the other line before saying, “Yeah sure okay. Anything for you.”

“Great.” Syazee said before she hung up. Nuiz looked at Zaid and said, “I’m going out. I’ll be at the park.”

“Yeah okay.”

Nuiz put on her shoes, closed the front door and went for the park.

The Start of the Game.

“Hi.”

She stared deeply at the folded piece of paper that she found under her desk after lunch break. She didn’t recognized the handwriting but she half-suspected that it came from one of the guys in her class by the name of Damian. Though, that was stupid thought, of course as the guy certainly had his eyes on other people.

Maybe she was the one crushing on him? Nah, nonsense, she thought.

She was alone in class and didn’t wish to leave. She was always the earliest to finish lunch and wait in class. She was waiting for her friend, Syazee.

A figure suddenly appeared at the class’ door. Speak of the devil; Syazee was there with her sling bag beside her waist. She was late for school as always.

“Nuiz, there you are.” Syazee said, walking into class. Nuiz looked up from the piece of paper she was staring at and looked at Syazee with a smile. No matter what bothered her, she always had a way of hiding it from people.

“I tried looking for you in the cafeteria. Though, I did suspect you were waiting in here.” Syazee said as she sat down next to Nuiz, not taking off her sling bag.

“Why were you late?” Nuiz asked, folding the piece of paper and keeping it under her desk. As she was folding it, she got a glimpse of what was written behind the paper.

‘Answer and leave this under your desk.’

‘Maybe later.’ Nuiz thought.

“The usual reason.” Syazee answered Nuiz’s previous question. The two of them started talking as usual, waiting for the bell to ring.

“Hey, what’s up? You seemed disturbed.” Syazee suddenly asked as they were talking about the latest school gossips.

“Nothing.” Nuiz answered.

“You sure?”

“Yeah.”

“Your name means ‘live’ you know so you should be ‘living’ your life to the fullest.” Syazee told Nuiz with a grin. Nuiz smirked and asked, “Oh really? Then what does your name mean?”

“I don’t know. It’s a mystery.” Syazee then gasped. “Maybe it’s because I’m meant to be mysterious.”

Syazee laughed as Nuiz rolled her eyes. “What nonsense.”

Soon, the bell rang and Syazee went back to her seat, which was in front of Nuiz. Nuiz took out the folded piece of paper, unfolded it and wrote, ‘who are you?’ She then folded it back and left it under her always empty desk.

She looked around to see if anyone was looking or observing her every move. No one was though.

‘Whoever this anonymous writer is, he or she is sure good at acting.’ Nuiz thought.

-------

School ended at 4 in the afternoon. Nuiz and Syazee got their bags and walked back home from school that day, talking as usual.

“Any plans for tonight?” Syazee asked Nuiz.

“Syazee we’re only 14. We can’t go to clubs or get ourselves drunk.” Nuiz replied, not really answering Syazee’s question.

“I know we can’t do that. I’m just asking.” Syazee told Nuiz.

“Probably just going to surf the internet and write stories.” Nuiz answered with a shrug. “Why? Are you planning on going out tonight?”

“The movies, probably.” Syazee replied.

“What movie are you planning to watch?”

“We. What movie are we planning to watch.” Syazee corrected Nuiz.

“Oh, so I’m in on this now?” Nuiz asked with a grin.

“C’mon. What’re we watching tonight?” Syazee asked.

“I heard there’s a new thriller movie that came out 3 days ago. Wanna watch that?”

“I don’t see why not.”

“Great.”

“So, I’ll come to your house at 7PM tonight?”

“Yeah, okay.” And with that, the conversation was over and the both of them walked home as usual.

-------

“HELLO???!!”

“Oh my, who’s that?” Nuiz’s mother asked. Nuiz grinned. “Relax mom, it’s only Syazee. Gee she could’ve just rung the bell.”

Nuiz got up and unlocked the door. Outside stood Syazee in her casual clothes, jeans, a long sleeved t-shirt with her sneakers.

“You could’ve just rung the bell you know?” Nuiz told Syazee as she lifted her eyebrow.

“Why, thank you for welcoming me into your house, bruh.” Was Syazee’s reply as she walked into the house. Nuiz shook her head with a smirk and closed the door.

“Good evening, Syazee.” Greeted Nuiz’s mom. Syazee shook her hand as a sign of ‘thank you.’

“So, I heard you both will be going out tonight?” Nuiz’s mom asked.

“Yeah.”

“Bring her back by 11.”

“You got it!”

And with that, the two friends set out for the cinema at the nearest mall they could find.

-------

The both of them got their seats in the theatre. Not many people had shown up yet.

“Don’t eat the popcorn yet.” Nuiz told Syazee who was already digging into the popcorn they bought to share with each other.

“Sorry.” Syazee replied.

The movie started soon and a man came up to Nuiz and sat down next to her. It was too dark for Nuiz to see his face.

Suddenly, Nuiz felt something in her jacket pocket. She looked at it and saw that the man was putting something in it. Nuiz didn’t know what to do so she whispered, “What the heck, man?”

The man didn’t answer, instead, he got up and sat somewhere else.

“Creep.” Nuiz said. She put her hand in her pocket and found a folded piece of paper. She couldn’t see what it wrote. She kept the paper anyway.

-------

The movie ended at 10 PM and Syazee and Nuiz walked back home from the mall.

“I’ll see you tomorrow at school, aye?” Syazee asked. Nuiz nodded and went into her house. She went up to her room and remembered the folded piece of paper she had gotten from the creepy guy she bumped into in the theatre.

She was surprised to see that it was the same folded piece of paper she had received at school. There, someone had answered, “I can’t tell you who I am, yet. That’ll just spoil the game, Nuiz.”

There was something else too.

‘Answer and leave it under your desk tomorrow.’

Nuiz didn’t know what to write. After pondering for a few minutes, she finally came up with something.

‘Let the games, begin.’
